Hexagon Cup Semi-Finals of height

By the Hexagon Cup team
3.2.2024

The pairs that will play the Next Gen final of the Hexagon Cup are already defined and the first male and female semifinal has already been played. Eva Longoria's team, ElevenEleven Team USA, will face Robert Lewandowski's team in the Next Gen category. Andy Murray will have at least one of his partners from the AD/vantage Padel Team in the finals of the tournament and the double clash between the Rafa Nadal Academy powered by Richard Mille and Robert Lewandowski's team has ended in a draw. Victory for the academy in the men's match and for the RL9 Padel Team in the Next Gen match. Total equality.

In the women's draw, Delfina Brea and Sofia Araujo made the great comeback of the tournament and qualified the AD/vantage Padel Team for the women's final of the Hexagon Cup. Andy Murray's pairing were 6-2 and 4-0 down and following the epic style that the Scotsman always plays with, they managed to turn it around and after winning six games in a row they ended up reaching the final in the super tiebreak of the third set. 2-6, 6-4 and 10-6. World number one Paula Josemaría and 17 year old Alejandra Fernández started the match at a hellish pace that neither Sofi nor Delfi were able to counter. 6-2 in just 30 minutes. The second set continued along the same lines and at 4-0 everything changed. At that moment Delfi and Sofi changed the chip, ball in and to suffer as they recognized themselves at the end of the match. Like little ants they were gaining ground until they unleashed the gale and closed the comeback.

In the men's section, Franco Stupaczuk and Alex Ruiz started the first semifinal with the intention of taking the only team from the Rafa Nadal Academy powered by Richard Mille that was still in contention in the tournament to the final after the morning defeat of the Next Gen pairing. Pozzoni's pupils needed the victory against a great couple like Agustin Tapia and Jon Sanz. 6-4, 2-6 and 10-5 was the final result.

That said, we already know the pairings that will play the final of Next Gen of the first edition. It will be a great match between ElevenEleven Team USA and RL9 Robert Lewandowski Padel Team.

The pair of Eva Longoria's team formed by Alex Chozas and Emilio Chamero have beaten Pol Hernandez and Pablo Garcia of Andy Murray's team, AD/vantage Padel Team in a match that has been resolved in the super tie-break of the third set for a total of 6-1, 6-7 and 10-5.  Alex and Emilio started the match with very clear ideas and knowing how they could hurt their opponents. Chozas struck and Chamero finished off, again and again until they managed to close the set by a clear 6-1. In the second set everything was equal and after saving two match points the match went to a super tiebreak. Chozas and Chamero regained the initiative and took the victory. In the opening match of the day Enzo Jensen and David Gala (RL9) came from behind and qualified for the semifinals in a tight match in which they ended up defeating Santigosa/Collado from the Rafa Nadal Academy.
