Fede Chingotto will play the Hexagon Cup in ElevenEleven Team USA

By the Hexagon Cup team

Fede Chingotto joins the Hexagon Cup and will play in the ElevenEleven Team USA replacing Fernando Belasteguín who has not been able to recover from an injury and we wish him a speedy recovery.

Chingotto will play in the American team, owned by Actress, Director and Entrepreneur Eva Longoria, with Lucho Capra and will try to win this first edition of the Hexagon Cup. The current number 8 in the FIP ranking is one of the most consistent players in the world and finished the year in great form winning the last title in which he was also named MVP of the tournament.

The right-handed player is known for his speed and ability to occupy all the spaces on the padel court and with his dedication and passion he will delight all the spectators at the Madrid Arena. Playing with a left-handed player like Capra, it will be interesting to see how 'Chingoland' adapts to playing on the backhand side, a place where he has already played on some previous occasions and with great results.

The player born in Olavarría lands with great enthusiasm in the team: "I am very excited to join ElevenEleven Team USA and be part of the first edition of this great tournament. We have a great team and I hope to help us achieve the final victory together. 8 days to go until the tournament starts and I can't wait to make my debut in the tournament," concludes the Argentinean.

Although Bela will not be able to play in this tournament he wanted to express his sorrow for not being able to compete in Madrid: "I still haven't fully recovered from my elbow injury and that doesn't allow me to be with ElevenEleven TEAM USA at the Hexagon Cup. Such a beautiful and important event requires me to be at 100% and out of respect for the organisation, my teammates and the public, I prefer Fede Chingotto to take my place. He is a great player and will give a great show. I wish the team all the best and they have my full support” concluded 'The boss’.

Daniel Homedes, Co-Owner of the ElevenElven Team USA, had some words for Belasteguin and welcomed Chingotto: "We wish Bela a speedy recovery, he's a legend of the sport and we hope he can return to the courts as soon as possible. We are very happy to continue to count on him in this edition as ambassador and captain of the team to continue using all his talent and wisdom to advise the players. Of course, we have a fantastic replacement and we're delighted to welcome Chingotto to the competition. Fede is one of the best players in the world and fans around the world will enjoy watching him play in the Hexagon Cup.

Hexagon Cup

Under the motto "For the Fans. For the Players. For the Game", this revolutionary competition is born with the ambition to offer a new and disruptive approach with a novel format where 6 teams, each composed of three pairs (a male pair, a female pair, and a pair of future stars), will compete to reach the final phase, where the inaugural champion of the Hexagon Cup will be crowned, with a prize pool of one million euros at stake.

The first edition of the Hexagon Cup will take place at the Madrid Arena, where a Fan Village will also be set up with various activities for fans: autograph signing sessions, player training areas, live concerts, entertainment, shops, exhibitions, food trucks, and high-quality gastronomic options.

Tickets for the event, starting from 20€, can be purchased through its website
